Assured Labor is revolutionizing the way that people in Emerging Markets find jobs. We’re building a massive web & mobile business that helps lower wage workers improve their lives. In the past year the company has registered over 175,000 users and is generating revenues.
We’re currently looking to add a Design / UX Lead and a talented Front-end Engineer. These are key roles for someone who wants to shape the service in a seed funded enterprise seeking to positively impact 1 billion people globally.
1) Designer / User Experience Lead
- We want someone to own the User Experience, to make it slick, to make it awesome – it’s functional but we want it to become beautiful.

2) Front-End Engineer
- Work directly with the founder and CTO as a meaningful stake-holder to shape the product
- Leverage your technical abilities to enhance a web & mobile based service being used across multiple countries
Skills Required:
- Adept with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Detailed knowledge of frameworks such as jQuery and YUI
- Good sense of user interface, user experience, graphic design, and a passion for constantly improving the user experience.
- Proficient in Java. Knowledge of Spring, Hibernate or iBatis a plus
- Experience in developing commercial web applications
- Mobile and Facebook experience is a plus, as is familiarity with OAuth and other cloud-integration technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Founders, Tech Team, Sales and Marketing to enhance the product offering
- Work through all phases of product life cycle from design, to build to testing and release
- Enable the platform to scale as we continue to experience rapid growth and enter more countries
Comp & Location:
- We’re far enough along to pay competitively, early enough to offer a solid equity stake
- Based out of Dogpatch Labs in Union Square, New York City
- Relocation reimbursement to New York may be available for the right candidate
